Fit, Alterations & Returns Policy
Effective Date: September 6, 2026
Diversey Clothiers creates made-to-measure suits using each customer’s submitted measurements, photographs, fit preferences, reference-garment information, and selected details.
Our goal is to produce a suit that reflects the information provided and fits as closely as reasonably possible to the customer’s preferred fit. Because every garment is individually made, our fit, alteration, return, refund, and exchange policies differ from those of traditional off-the-rack retailers.
Understanding Made-to-Measure Fit
Made-to-measure clothing is designed around your individual measurements and preferences. It does not guarantee that a garment will require no adjustment or that it will match every subjective fit preference without alteration.
Final fit may be affected by:
- The accuracy and placement of submitted measurements
- Body shape and posture
- Changes in weight or body composition
- The selected jacket and trouser fit preferences
- Fabric characteristics
- The fit and condition of any reference garment
- Personal preferences concerning ease, taper, length, and movement
- Normal tolerances associated with garment construction
Minor local alterations may sometimes be needed to achieve your preferred final fit.
Customer Measurement Responsibility
Customers are responsible for following the provided measurement instructions and submitting information that is accurate, complete, and current.
When taking measurements:
- Use a soft tailor’s measuring tape
- Have another person assist whenever possible
- Stand upright and relaxed
- Do not flex, hold in your stomach, or alter your normal posture
- Keep the measuring tape snug, but not tight
- Wear the clothing specified in the measurement instructions
- Enter measurements using the requested units
- Upload clear and accurate front, side, and back photographs
Diversey Clothiers reviews submitted Fit Profiles for potential inconsistencies. This review is intended to identify measurements or information that may require clarification, but it does not guarantee that every measurement error or potential fit concern will be identified before production.
If we contact you about a measurement or photograph, you are responsible for responding accurately and within a reasonable period. Production may be delayed while we wait for clarification.
Reference Garments
Measurements from an existing jacket or pair of trousers may be submitted as an additional fit reference.
Reference-garment measurements supplement rather than replace the required body measurements.
A completed suit may fit differently from a reference garment because of differences in fabric, construction, pattern, age, condition, or the accuracy of the submitted garment measurements.
Diversey Clothiers may adjust or decline to copy a reference measurement when it conflicts with body measurements, photographs, fit preferences, or other submitted information.
Trying On Your Suit
Please inspect and try on your suit promptly after delivery.
For the most accurate fit assessment:
- Wear a properly fitted dress shirt and dress shoes
- Button the jacket while standing naturally
- Wear the trousers at the intended waistband height
- Stand upright and relaxed
- Check the fit while standing, sitting, and moving naturally
- Avoid judging the fit over bulky clothing
Some creasing is normal when a garment is worn.
A potential fit concern may be present when the garment feels unusually restrictive, pulls significantly, does not hang properly, or prevents comfortable movement.
Reporting a Fit Concern
Any significant fit concern must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
Please contact Diversey Clothiers before wearing the suit beyond the initial fitting or having any alterations performed.
When contacting us, please include:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- A description of the concern
- Where the garment feels too tight, too loose, too short, or too long
- Clear full-body photographs from the front, side, and back
- Close-up photographs showing the affected area
We may request additional photographs, garment measurements, body measurements, or other information before determining the appropriate next step.
Alterations
Minor local alterations may sometimes be needed to achieve your preferred final fit.
Alteration services and costs are not included with your purchase unless otherwise expressly stated in writing. Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for routine alterations performed by a third-party tailor.
If you believe your suit has a significant fit issue, workmanship concern, or differs materially from your confirmed order, contact Diversey Clothiers within 14 days of delivery and before having any alterations performed.
Alterations performed before our review may limit our ability to evaluate the garment or provide assistance.
Diversey Clothiers is not responsible for third-party alteration work or alteration costs unless we expressly approve the work and expense in writing before the alteration is performed.
Returns and Exchanges
Because every Diversey Clothiers suit is made specifically for the customer’s submitted measurements, fit preferences, and selected details, we do not offer standard returns, refunds, or size exchanges.
Made-to-measure garments cannot be restocked or resold in the same manner as off-the-rack clothing.
A difference between the finished garment and a customer’s subjective fit preference does not automatically qualify an order for a return, refund, replacement, or remake.
We will review timely concerns involving:
- A significant fit issue
- A manufacturing or workmanship issue
- Damage discovered upon delivery
- An incorrect item or selected detail
- A garment that differs materially from the confirmed order
Each concern will be reviewed individually using the submitted Fit Profile, confirmed order details, photographs, garment measurements, and the nature of the reported issue.
Resolution of Fit or Order Concerns
When appropriate, Diversey Clothiers will determine a reasonable resolution based on the circumstances of the individual order.
Depending on the issue, available assistance may include:
- Additional fit guidance
- A recommended local alteration
- An approved alteration contribution
- Repair
- Replacement of an affected item
- Remake
- Store credit
- Partial refund
- Full refund
The type and availability of assistance will depend on the circumstances. No particular remedy is guaranteed until the concern has been reviewed and a determination has been made.
Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable law.
Concerns That May Not Qualify for Assistance
Assistance may be limited or unavailable when a concern results from:
- Inaccurate or incomplete measurements submitted by the customer
- Failure to follow the measurement instructions
- Incomplete, unclear, or inaccurate photographs or fit information
- A change in weight, body shape, or fit preference after the order was finalized
- Normal fabric creasing
- Minor tailoring or production variation
- Normal wear and tear
- Improper cleaning, care, storage, or use
- Alterations performed before review or without prior written approval
- A concern reported more than 14 days after delivery
- Damage occurring after delivery
- A garment worn beyond the initial fitting before the concern was reported
- Failure to provide requested photographs, measurements, or information
We may still review the concern, but a resolution is not guaranteed.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your suit arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item or selected detail, or differs materially from the confirmed order, contact us within 14 days of delivery.
Please keep the garment, packaging, labels, and included materials until the issue has been reviewed.
We may request photographs of the garment and packaging before determining the appropriate next step.
Order Changes and Cancellations
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.
Changes may be possible before the order is finalized and production begins. Once fabric has been cut, materials have been committed, or production has started, changes and cancellations may no longer be possible.
Approved changes may affect the order price and estimated completion date.
Any approved cancellation, refund, or other resolution will depend on the production status of the order, costs already incurred, and applicable law.
Care and Cleaning
Follow the care instructions included with your garment.
Unless otherwise indicated, professional dry cleaning is generally recommended for tailored suits. Improper washing, drying, ironing, steaming, storage, or stain treatment may damage the fabric or garment construction.
Damage caused by improper care, cleaning, storage, or use is not considered a manufacturing or workmanship issue.
Our Commitment
Our goal is to produce a suit that reflects your measurements, fit preferences, and selected details.
If something does not feel right, contact us promptly and allow us to review the garment before making alterations or taking further action.
We will evaluate each timely concern carefully and work toward a reasonable resolution when appropriate.
